Guided by the thoughts of morality, being soul, knowledge, being base, talent, foundation, and health, CISISU has encouraged the all-around development of the students with expertise in more than one specialty. Over the past 3 years this establishment has witnessed great achievements, has been praised by the students and their parents, as well as people from all levels of leadership and education in society. The Program of Education Rejuvenesence in 2003-2004 at CISISU continues to seek out special characters with strong foundations, and we try our best to become the most famous institute of foreign languages among the same kind in China.
. Our Goal to Train the Students
Our goal is to train the students to be mindful of the ideals, virtues, capabilities, and disciplines, enable they to develop fully in virtue, intelligence and physical stamina as they adapt to the market-fashioned economy of China and as they become competitive and versatile foreign language experts.
The requirements for the students:
1.)Being politically-minded, patriotic, and advocates of the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the Socialist system in China. They must also be innovative, creative, reverent of their careers, diligent, and devoted to the society, serving the people whole-heartedly while serving the socialistic modernizations of our country.
2.)Mastering a solid essential theory of the foreign language and having the solid essentials of the relevant humanitarian and sociological issues. The students are encouraged to excel in the foreign language skills of listening, speaking, comprehension, writing, translation, and interpretation. It is also important for them to enjoy a sound foundation in the Chinese language essentials and Chinese writing.
3.)Students are encouraged to master and to have a brief outline of the latest achievements and developing trends of the relevant subjects. They are to receive preliminary training in doing scientific research.
4.)Undergraduate students are required to thoroughly master a second foreign language.
Our Modes of Training Students.
Since the founding of CISISU, we have established, based on the market demands, a student- training formula of “1+N, i.e. one diploma plus multiple certificates. The formula of “ 1+N, essentially emphasizes the elements of the students’ majors, and highlights their practical capabilities. As to the performance of the training majors, taking into consideration the diversity of the students, the specialties of the teaching faculties, and also the market demands of the college majors; we have established a complete set of agendas each with their own characteristics, in teaching programs, in teaching management, and in teaching assessments. In the meantime, we have developed and emphasized practices based on the individual preferences of the students to program a would-be career and to offer vocational training. We have arranged enough time for the students to practice teaching, to do major-related practices, to do graduating practices, thus to promote their transition from students to faculty.
