At the time the prerequisite of the State-regulated teaching syllabus of the teaching major was completed, we established 8 training programs: Translation/Interpretation Certificate Examination, Test for English Majors (TEM) Examination, College English Testing (CET) Examination, Computer Operation Certificate Examination, Tourist Guide Certificate Examination, Driver’s License Test, Teacher’s Certification Test, and Mandarin Chinese Certification Test. All of these are very popular among the students. After these preparations, our students are more competitive and have broader choices in career establishment, thus leading to a more promising future.

CISISU has greatly honored an abundance of campus-bound cultural activities, simultaneously ensures the enforcement of the major-related training and other essential training. First of all, CISISU tries its best to improve its culture-enriched campus through the promotion of elegant and harmonious campus-bound cultures. Because of this, the temperaments of the students are molded and our students will develop feelings of psychological and emotional wellness within the boundaries of this beautiful institution.
Secondly, our students are fully encouraged and sponsored to participate in the various cultural and sports activities. Our annual campus activities include the following:
The New Year Evening of Entertainment, The Festival of Campus Cultures and Arts, The Festival of Kite-Flying, The Contest of Modern Dance, The Spring Sports Meeting, The Festival of Female Students, The Top 10 Famous Singers on Campus, The Freshmen Tug-Of-War Competition, and The Demonstration of Exercise and Radio Music.
As CISISU pays great importance to the sports activities, our students eagerly participate in a variety of sports activities. Their all-around qualities have essentially improved. The students have made remarkable achievements:
In the Spring Sports Meeting (2002) of SISU in Chongqing, the delegates from CISISU broke the records in 5 events and won 6 championships. There were 2 second places awarded, 6 third places awarded, 5 sixth places, and SISU was ranked as No. 4 for the team competition; CISISU delegates also won the only prize for sportsmanship.
When participating in the Men’s 7,000-Meter Cross-Country Race for the New Year celebration, our participants won 5 individual prizes and a group prize.
This event was sponsored by The Cup of Yinhe Magnet- Galaxy Magnet, a first time sponsor. The Art Troup of CISISU participated in the Friendship Art Performances along with the other universities and colleges in Chengdu. The show of the Rite of Adulthood was highly praised by the audience and was also performed by the Sichuan Satellite TV Channel.
